“I literally fell into it” says Ilissa Miller when asked how she found herself in a career as a public relations professional. Her start as a receptionist at a graphic design recruiting firm quickly evolved as she pursued an interest in the telecom industry. From sales, marketing and product development, Miller was relentless about having a deep understanding of ever expanding and evolving industry.
Today, Miller manages a team of more than 30 professionals and uses her experience to help clients differentiate their messages and achieve notoriety through storytelling. She helps her clients develop concise messaging that is relatable and easy to understand for every consumer – which is often a challenge when businesses in the industry are asked to communicate what it is that they do.
“The communications infrastructure space connects the world,” say Ilissa Miller when asked how she finds purpose in what she does. “By helping companies spread the word about what they do, how they do it and connecting people, continents, islands…I think that we’re making a difference in the world by connecting everyone, everywhere.”
