New Date Prioritizes The Health and Safety of Attendees Due to the Global COVID-19 Pandemic
NEW YORK – MARCH 16, 2019 – NEDAS, now in its 10th year, is a grassroots association located at the intersection of wireline and wireless with a goal of improving communications infrastructure to the edge for buildings, municipalities, public safety, enterprise solutions and more. Today, NEDAS announces that it has officially rescheduled its 2020 Boston Symposium, originally scheduled for April 16, 2020, to July 14, 2020 at Convene Boston. NEDAS remains optimistic that this decision and subsequent timeframe will allow time for the COVID-19 virus to be contained, and is closely monitoring developments to ensure the health and safety of attendees is paramount.
NEDAS events bring together key decision-makers and end-users addressing converged network communications infrastructure solutions. The 2020 NEDAS theme, ‘Bridging Wireline and Wireless,’ aims at facilitating a vital focus on identifying and overcoming challenges associated with wireline and wireless communications infrastructure convergence – particularly important in today’s digital infrastructure reliance.
“Monitoring the rapid advancement of the COVID-19 virus, we immediately contacted Convene to explore options and identify a new date for our event,” comments Ilissa Miller, President of NEDAS and the CEO and Founder of iMiller Public Relations. “Convene has been truly understanding and flexible and was able to quickly offer us an alternative date with flexible options to ensure a smooth transition. Our Advisory Council provided swift responses to requests for guidance. Finally, we truly appreciate the understanding and flexibility of our already committed event sponsors and attendees who also unequivocally supported our decision.”
NEDAS looks forward to a safe and successful event that fosters collaboration, education and actionable discussion across the wireless and wireline ecosystem.
NEDAS, managed and produced by iMiller Public Relations, a full-service public relations and marketing consultancy serving the communications infrastructure sector, is taking part in an online video-based networking event designed to help companies adapt technology in order to continue to drive new business opportunities in lieu of in-person meetings. The video-based networking program is initially scheduled for March 16, March 23 and March 30, 2020 at 12pm ET. Participation requires attendees to join with video capabilities enabled and to register here. Monitoring the global pandemic, these video networking sessions will continue to be scheduled in order to continue to drive education, awareness of opportunities and to assist in introducing companies driving business opportunities for the industry.
